We want to thank everyone for coming out to support LOOK UP. STOP TEXTING last night! We are thrilled to have collaborated with Cat Greenleaf to support her in the launch of texting awareness here at the store as well as her apparel line. In addition to the shirts and tanks, Cat also kicked off her new line of "Look Up" necklaces, iPhone covers, and notepads. Proceeds from these purchases go to benefit the Common Ground Foundation, created by rapper and author Common.
Our guests, some of whom had never been to Fred Segal before but were drawn by Good Works Space and LOOK UP, were able to learn more about Cat's efforts to bring light on the issue of constant and even dangerous texting. The night also included innovative mixes by Dj Keith Shocklee of Run DMC and Public Enemy status, who flied here from New York just to help Cat launch the event.
Special treats were provided by the Village Cookie Shoppe, which uses revenue to help homeless adults and young people with disabilities get an education, a job, and a home.
Please stay updated on Cat's LUSTBKLYN and follow her on Talk Stoop on NBC Weekdays at 8pm Eastern Standard Time!
